Hi! I am Jess

For some people photography is a hobby, for others it is a passion, and for people like me, it's the very air in which I breathe. There is not a day where I am not inspired by something or someone.

In 1986, I was introduced to photography through a classmate while in high school. Little did I know at that time, this fated moment would dictate the direction of my entire life and career. In the summer of 1997, I opened the Lamb Portrait Studio in Springfield, MO, after studying with 3 master photographers.

Within a year the studio took off like a rocket and over the course of the next 17 years, I was honored to receive recognition for my business and photography. A few of my favorites acknowledgements are the Excellence in Business Award by the State of Missouri, two Kodak Gallery Awards, the Fuji Masterpiece Award, 2015 Child Photographer of the Year by Professional Photographers of the Ozarks, and voted “Best Photographer” by the Springfield News-Leader four years in a row 2008-2011.

Owning a full-time studio is a fast-paced, demanding job that requires a certain level of dedication and devotion. In 2012, I decided that it was time to share some of that dedication and devotion to my family life, where I decided to close Lamb Portrait Studio to became a freelance photographer.

As a freelancer, I could finally brand myself using my married name (Rosa) verses my maiden name (Lamb). Plus, I could evolve into the digital era by offering services rather than products.

My clients are important to me. I invest my time in getting to know them because it helps me to better serve and photograph them.

Because you want to remember, Beautifully.

What I Do

What I Do

It's your Legacy...

One of the things I greatly admire about photography is its ability to capture people. There is nothing more incredible to me than when I create a photo that embodies the person I am photographing. It transcends everything because it's no longer just a photo or a moment, it becomes a part of their legacy.

I am a portrait photographer, it's what I do. Through my experience and expertise, I help people to feel natural and comfortable in front of my camera while looking their best.  I love working with all ages from newborns to elderly, including fur babies.

I know it's hard to determine the value of one photographer over another. I believe it's because experience is something you can only see when it's in motion.  Some people think that a picture is just a picture. In order to be a good photographer, you have to have a nice camera, Photoshop and an eye for seeing things.

Yes, these are vital tools to my trade, but it's what I do with these tools that makes the REAL difference.
